Loy teaches Small Group Communication and Presentational Speaking. Additionally, she is an undergraduate advisor and a member of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and Technology Committee. In her role as advisor, Loy works with students throughout their college careers to help them achieve their goals as West Virginia University students and as Communication Studies majors. A member of NACADA (National Academic Advising Association), she recently presented at both the regional conference in Knoxville, TN and the national conference in Denver, CO (with colleague Dr. Andrea Weber). Their national presentation, which focused on group advising and assessment, was designated as a Sponsored Event by the Liberal Arts Commission of NACADA.
