For the fifth year in a row, the Department of Communication is offering a nine-week, 9.0 credit hour study abroad program in Germany: the Summer Program in Communication Studies at Erfurt (Germany), or SPICE.
A few details about the program:
- Students will live in Germany from June 11 until August 12.
- Total program cost is $10,375, all-inclusive (tuition, room and board, and all travel costs)
- Planned trips to Berlin and Bruges, Belgium (included in tuition)
- Courses offered include COM405 (Effects of Entertainment Media), COM424 (Advanced Intercultural Communication) and two special topics courses (Global Communication Campaigns and Video Games as Communication)
For 2017, we can accept up to 18 students.
Office of International Programs
All WVU students (graduate, undergraduate, and professional) must register with OIP before traveling internationally on university related activities. OIP Personnel will assist you in planning all aspects of your international experience, including such things as required insurance, passports, visas, health preparedness, and academic credits. Please be aware that if you are traveling for academic credit and you fail to register with this office, you will be denied credit upon your return to WVU.
