Admission into the Major
Application for Admission to Major Department of Communication Studies
In order to be eligible for consideration as a major in Communication Studies, the following criteria must be met at the time of application.
1.) Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or better.
2.) Student must complete COMM 200 (Communication Theory and Research I) and COMM 201 (Communication Theory and Research II) with a combined GPA of 2.50 or better.
3.) Student must have a GPA of at least 2.50 in all previous COMM classes.
Students who have met the following requirements and wish to be considered a communication studies major must submit this application to the Undergraduate Secretary in the main office of the department (Armstrong 108). Students who are currently enrolled in either COMM 200 and/or COMM 201 and believe they will meet all admission requirements at the end of the semester may complete this form. Processing of the form will take place following the receipt of grades at the end of the semester.
