The Department of Communication Studies offers an M.A. in Strategic Organizational Communication (Online) and a Ph.D. in Communication Studies. Graduate instructors are full-time faculty members well-known at the regional, national and international levels for their accomplishments in research, teaching and service.

The Ph.D. program in Communication Studies is intended to qualify the student to teach and conduct research in instructional communication, interpersonal communication, or organizational communication at the University level, along with other research emphases.
