Morrison, Trinity
Trinity is a first-year doctoral student from Dunbar, West Virginia who joined the WVU Department of Communication Studies in Fall 2024. Prior to attending West Virginia University, she received her bachelor’s degree in Communication from West Virginia State University where she focused on filmmaking and visual media. She received her master’s degree in Communication Studies from WVU.
Her research interests include Mass Communication/Media Studies and Popular Culture Studies. Specifically, topics include how popular culture influences self-image and self-worth of neurodivergent individuals through the on-screen representation of neurodivergence. Additionally, she has an interest in researching how neurotypical individuals view and treat neurodivergent individuals from those same representations. Trinity’s research interests look closely at popular culture and the lens of influence it has on its audience.
