Biography:

Chelsea Bihlmeyer is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Communication Studies. Her research interests include the intersection of epistemology and research design, as they influence topics of study concerning romance and power-mediated communication. Prior to coming to WVU, Chelsea was awarded a Fulbright-EDUFI Student Grant to support a one-year appointment in the Department of Art at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. Chelsea’s interest in methodological assumptions is the impetus for her doctoral research, focusing on statistical analyses and mixed methodologies especially relevant to future research and Artificial Intelligence. Chelsea is currently teaching COMM 104: Fundamentals of Public Communication.
