April (she/her - Why
pronouns matter) joined WVU Department
of Communication Studies as a doctoral student Fall 2023. Her research
interests include Interpersonal Communication topics such as romantic
communication, conflict, and positive communication. She is also interested in
Instructional Communication, especially in the online environment and plans to
pursue a graduate certificate in Digital and Social Media. April completed both
her B.A. and M.A. in Communication Studies at UNCG. She has
10 years experience teaching COMM courses such as Intro to Communication
Studies, Public Speaking, Business Communication, and Interpersonal
Communication. She currently teaches COMM 104:
Fundamentals of Public Communication.
