Areas of Emphasis:
Hailey Scherer is a second-year doctoral student from Richlands, Virginia. She completed her B.S. in Psychology at Radford University and her M.A. in Experimental Psychology also at Radford University. Over the course of her time at Radford, Hailey developed a passion for research and had the opportunity to have two of her works published and to present other works at a number of psychological conferences, such as SPSP, EPA, and SEPA.
Hailey’s research interests include parasocial relationships, social media, stereotypes, popular culture, identification, and the way that some of these can play a role in both interpersonal relationships and group memberships.
